Things to Do with Kids

Join the Children's Museum of Manhattan July 31 - August 3 for their Ice & Snow in Summer programs! Activities include:

• ‍Waxy Artic Icebergs
  Use wax paper to create a shimmering, fractured iceberg scene, experimenting with transparency and reflection while learning about Arctic landscapes.

• ‍My Little Ice Cream Shop
  How do you cool off on a hot summer day? Help everyone stay cool this summer at your ice cream shop. Add details to a small box to make your own little ice cream shop and take the shop home with you to continue “chilling” out.
  

• ‍Water Wednesdays: Simple Machines Exploration with Inspiring Machines
  Join us in H2O where we will have a collection of small-hand friendly machines and tools to explore — to touch, poke, twist, prod, spin, push, squeeze, and pull — in the water! Children will have fun figuring out for themselves what these machines can do.  Machines and tools provided by Inspiring Machines.

• ‍Summer Soundwave Thursdays: Joanie Leeds
  Join GRAMMY® award-winning children’s musician Joanie Leeds for a vibrant, fun- filled performance at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan! With catchy, summery songs from her 11-album catalog, Joanie will take young hearts on an exciting journey through water, earth, and nature. Get ready to sing, dance, and celebrate the beauty of the world around us in this interactive, musical adventure!
  

• ‍Workshop: Cotton Candy Week!
  Make your own Cotton Candy for Cotton Candy Day which is celebrated annually on July 31!
